What a privilege to know that I am a child of God and that He wants a genuine relationship with me!

Being all in for Jesus refers to the level of our relationship with Him. The stronger the relationship that we have with the Lord, the more we will walk by faith, trust, and obedience. Relationships endure through challenges, but they prioritize the relationship over everything else.

Do we value our relationship with Jesus? Do we notice when the relationship is not where it needs to be? Do we realize that if the relationship is not where it needs to be, who moved?

In Isaiah 64: 7-9, “Yet no one calls on Your name or pleads with You for mercy. Therefore, You have turned from us and turned us over to our sins. And yet, O Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You are the potter. We all are formed by Your hand. Don’t be so angry with us, Lord. Please don’t remember our sins forever. Look at us, we pray, and see that we are all Your people.”

In this relationship with Jesus….

  • We need communication! The Lord is always speaking, but are we hearing Him? Are we listening to Him? Are we speaking with Him? Relationships can not grow stronger and closer if there is no communication. Today, try talking to the Lord, and then listen to His answer.
  • We need confession! Are we pleading for mercy so that the Lord does not give us what we deserve? “If I confess my sins, He is faithful and just to forgive me of all my sins.”
  • We must see ourselves as the clay and that Jesus is the Potter! What kind of clay am I? Am I hardened? Am I dried out? Or am I soft and pliable in the hand of the potter? The clay does not tell the potter what to do. But the clay surrenders to the potter’s hands because He knows what is best for the clay. The Lord knows what is best for our lives!
  • We must see ourselves as God’s children! A relationship starts when we are born into the family of God. Have you asked Jesus to come into your life and forgive you of all your sins?

What a privilege to know that I am a child of God and that He wants a genuine relationship with me!
