How many are thankful for songs of praise and worship that minister to us on life’s journey? Praise and worship help us glorify God and build our faith in life. What is the song that ministers to you?
When the children of Israel saw the miracle at the Red Sea, the first thing they did was to begin to sing, praise, and worship God! Start your day by praising God.
In Exodus 15, we see their song and learn some great truths from it.
Exodus 15: 1-2 tells us: “I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously; the horse and the rider He has thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father’s God , and I will exalt Him.”
Lessons for us:
- Praise and worship are choices that I must continually make in my life. “I will sing, I will praise, I will exalt Him.” I must make the choice and not live by my feelings. Start praising God, worshipping God, singing, and watching what happens to your feelings!
- Begin to declare that God is your strength, your salvation, and your God! Begin to speak the name of Jesus and declare who your God is!
- Remember that God is always faithful! God was faithful, is faithful, and always will be faithful! I love that song: “Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.”
What is your song that encourages you to worship the Lord?
