Where is my hope today?

Are you going through a season of pain, testing, and trials in life? Are you dealing with discomfort, discouragement, and despondency in life?

We need to be honest with ourselves and realize the season we are in right now. Seasons continually change in the natural world, and they change in our lives as well.

Read these words from Psalm 42:5 – “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God.”

• We first need to get honest with the Lord and with ourselves. We will never change until we see the need for change. The Psalmist asked: “Why are you cast down? Why are you in turmoil within me?”

We often want to pretend that we are OK, but if you are not OK today, go to the Lord. “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.”

• When you get honest with God and yourself, you must make a choice. Will I hope in myself, luck, karma, or people, or will I put my hope in God?
• When I put all my hope and faith in God, I will begin to praise Him because He is my salvation. He saves me from sin, Satan, and self! He is MY God!

Where is my hope today?
