Our journey of following Jesus realizes that this journey is for all eternity. Are we preparing for eternity?
Look at how many things we have prepared to go away for a few days here on Earth. It would be best to pack your daily clothes, medicines, books, and directions to where you are going. We have to get the car ready to go. Look at all we must do to go away for a few days.
What are we doing to prepare for eternity?
1 John 3 2-3 tells us, “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what will have not yet appeared, but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him as He is. And everyone who thus hopes in Him purifies Himself as He is pure.”
If we prepare and plan for things in this world, are we preparing for when we see Jesus? Lord, empower me to continue to become more like You!
Lord, help me to focus on this world and eternity. It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!
