A “Wealth Tax” Can End “Crony Capitalism” and “Avarician Economics”

Part XVI of the “United States 2024 Election

This column proposed a “Wealth Tax” on February 17, 2021. The 2021 article on the “Wealth Tax” is one of 21 articles mentioned in a book about the suggested “Biden Back-to-Basics Doctrine.” The book dubbed as “Mabuhay Writings Book 4” is available at Amazon Books.

This column has coined the term “United States of Avaricia (sic)” and its prime movers and supporters can be dubbed the “Avaricians.” Readers can guess that “Avaricia” is the Spanish word for “avarice.” Or greed.

The top two percent of the country is composed of the filthy-rich financial barons controlling the country’s cartels and their political supporters, cronies and kin. People may call them the “Avaricians.”

The “Wealth Tax” can become the number-one issue of the 2024 presidential, congressional and local elections. Perhaps President Biden, Vice President Harris and all the Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, state-and-local offices may like to sign a notarized “Covenant with the People.” They can pledge in it that the first bill introduced on January 21, 2025, will about the creation of a “Wealth Tax.” It is respectfully suggested that it be the first component of the changing of the country’s “Crony Capitalism” to “Cooperative Capitalism.”

The “Wealth Tax” issue can result in a Democratic super majority of both houses of the U.S. Congress and state assemblies. It can become a real “ReVOTElution,” as this journalist coined in 2007.

The Republican candidates for all elective positions may also sign the same notarized Covenant. But it may be impossible for GOP candidates to go against the dictates of political donors from “Corporate Avaricia (sic).” After all, is “GOP” now an acronym that means “Gutting the Old and the Poor”?

Since Caucasian voters — even in the Red States — get an estimated 42% or even more of welfare and other social-benefit programs, it is logical that many of them will support the “Wealth Tax” initiative. After all, many of them belong, too, to the 98% of society’s poor and marginalized citizens.

Perhaps, four more years for President Biden and his Administration will usher the turning of an economy based on “cooperative economics.” This means, the economy — like the government — will also be for the people, by the people, and of the people, their cooperatives and credit unions.

Quo Vadis, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and other Democrats?
