How are you doing on the test of faith?

On this journey of following Jesus, tests are a part of life! Tests are good for us to show us what we are really like! Tests reveal what is going on inside of us!

In 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul writes, “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.”

I have a responsibility to examine myself! My job is not to examine you but to test you! Paul says, “Examine yourselves…Test yourselves.” Do we do this in our spiritual journey? Do we stop and examine or test ourselves to see where we are spiritually?

We need to ask ourselves honestly about where we are in our spiritual journey.

Examine and Test yourselves with questions like:

  • What is the Lord saying to me?
  • Am I spending time in God’s Word and allowing Him to speak to me? Am I consistent in reading God’s Word?
  • Am I spending time being with Jesus in prayer?
  • When am I worshipping the Lord?
  • When was the last person that I talked to them about Jesus?
  • Am I faithful in going to church?
  • Am I obeying God in all areas of my life?
  • Am I managing my time, my talents, tithing, and giving?
  • Is the fruit of the Spirit being evidenced in my life?

My responsibility is to examine or test myself. This is your responsibility for your life as well.

How are you doing on the test of faith?
